Sabbatismus is a free library by the Inversiones San Juan Diego foundation (San Pedro Sula, Honduras). This policy covers the site sabbatismus.com and the Sabbatismus mobile app.
Reading requires no account. Without one, your reading progress, notes, highlights and settings are stored only on your device or in your browser. We show no advertising, use no third-party analytics, and never sell or share information with anyone.
Reader account (optional). If you create an account on sabbatismus.com we store your e-mail address and password (encrypted, in Amazon Cognito), the name you choose, your username and, so that you can continue on any device, your reading progress, highlights and notes. Everything is stored in the foundation's Amazon Web Services account in the United States and used only to provide the service.
Public shelf. By default nobody sees what you read. If you turn on the public shelf in your account, other readers see your name, your username, the works you read and how far you are in each. Your notes and highlights are never shown. You can turn it off at any time.
Deleting the account. From your account page you can delete it at any time: your profile, progress, highlights and notes stored in the cloud are erased along with your credentials. What is stored in your browser or phone stays until you clear it yourself.
The site and the app download works from our servers (Amazon Web Services). Those requests carry the usual technical information of any connection (IP address, device type), used only to deliver the content and never linked to a person.
If you report a translation error, the report contains only the work and sentence in question and the text you write.
You can delete all your local data by uninstalling the app, removing downloaded works inside the app, or clearing the site's data in your browser.
